Delete your FoodLore account and data

Last updated: 19 October 2026

You can delete your FoodLore account — and everything stored with it — at any time, for any reason. Deleting is not hidden and takes a minute.

In the app (fastest)

  1. Open FoodLore and sign in.
  2. Go to Account.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

You will be asked whether to keep a copy of your recipes on the phone. If you choose to, your device keeps its local archive — any cloud data you had is still deleted. If you never had Premium cloud backup, there is no cloud copy to delete, and the phone archive is all there is.

What gets deleted

If you had set up relatives sharing, any share links and membership records are deleted with your account, so the relatives you invited lose access. Recipes a relative already saved a copy of are their own and stay with them.

The community feed is not active today. If you later use community features, a restricted moderation report or case involving your account may remain after account deletion for 90 days after dismissal or 12 months after a confirmed decision. A documented administrator extension or exceptional hold can postpone deletion. Live account links and copied profile handles are removed; retained report text, case notes and a necessary preserved reported profile photo may still contain personal information. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Deleting your FoodLore account does not cancel a Premium subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store. Cancel that separately in your store's subscription settings.

If you no longer have the app

Write to legal@foodlorefamily.com from the email address on the account, with the subject “Delete my FoodLore account”. We will verify the request and delete the account and its active data within 30 days, and confirm by reply when it is done. If you can install the app again, in-app deletion starts immediately. The moderation exception described above follows its separate retention period.
